Samsung Galaxy Note 3 reportedly receiving Android 4.4.2 KitKat update

Samsung is now reportedly rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its recently launched phablet, the Galaxy Note 3 in Poland.

According to Sammobile, the Galaxy Note 3's update (build N9005XXUENA6) is available over-the-air (OTA) and via the company's Kies software. However, it's worth pointing out that there is no word when Samsung will release the latest Android update for Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9000), which is the model available in India.

The site further claims that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 has integrated many features that Google has added to the stock Android KitKat build.

Samsang mobile has also revealed the changelog for the update, which includes music Album art displayed on the lockscreen while playing music; camera shortcut on the lockscreen; upgraded Emoji icon; default launcher (TouchWiz easy Home, TouchWiz basic Home or a third-party one) from the settings menu; new wireless printing service, and more inbuilt Google apps like Photos and Drive.

The new Android 4.4 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 reportedly also includes the option to choose from default messaging app between Google's Hangouts and device's Messages app.

Earlier on Monday, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat screenshots of the Samsung Galaxy S4 were allegedly leaked and showed a flatter TouchWiz Nature UX design. Unfortunately, there has been no mention when the Galaxy S4 will be receiving the Android KitKat update.
